Cross Country ends around the November so….

By then I’ll have already done my SATs and started applying to colleges. So I think I can squeeze indoor and outdoor track. And I think if I start my own training and actually stick to it I’ll be ready for track. I love cross country but I think I can see myself trying the 3000 in track. Idk this is me just thinking out loud. Let’s just say I PR’d like crazy in track but didn’t do xc, and maybe wanted to run in college, would it look bad that I didn’t do xc my senior year?

I really need to get on a sleeping schedule so that I wake up at 7. I really wanted to do my run today. I’ll just make today a rest day :/ it would’ve been 10 200s. MAYBE progressive, I know my track coach would be happy. I’ll do that tomorrow because I don’t work. Then Thursday I’ll do a 45 minute run. Friday I’m thinking 10, 8, 6, 4, 2? Or 3 800s race pace. If anyone has good cross country workouts for speed and endurance, message me please!

Speaking with college xc/track coach?

I’m so happy she emailed me back. Anyway should I ask what they do for workouts?

Lifting and running?

I have the worst menstrual cramps right now. The last two hours I was suppose to be getting ready but I passed out lol. I’m getting hydrated and getting some fruit. I’ll be heading to the gym in a few. I know I’m going to run 3 miles(probably at an easy slow pace-my uterus feels like it’s going to fall out), work on arms, and abs. I don’t like working on my legs only because I run. Does that seem okay? I feel like the running sort of gets the job done.

No run today or tomorrow unless I get to a gym. It’s suppose to be 100 degrees out. I can tan though ;) Finally finished my last test as a Junior. Woot woot! Just a happy day

Yay! I ran today!

I haven’t “ran” since maybe around my last meet, which was well over a month ago. I know it’s sad and I feel so ashamed about it. But lately I’ve been going to the gym lifting weights and I was going through a time when I was questioning going back to running. There is just so much I’m going to be doing my senior year, I just don’t know if I’ll have time. If anything I’ll do xc(maybe indoor), but not outdoor. I love watching meets and all but first of all I don’t like track very much and I’m just too lazy to care the last season. Any I had to run on the dreadmill, which was fine, but really hell. I never thought I would sweat as much as I did.

Workout:

-warm up, easy run 2 min, walk 1 min(repeat 3x)

-run 3min, walk 1(repeat 3x)

-run 4, walk 1, run 5, walk 1, run 2 walk 1(repeat 3x)

It actually looks really easy, but when I’m on the treadmill I seriously feel like I’m going to fall and fly across the room. Especially when I have it on high speed.

But I’m taking tomorrow off to study and get interviewed for a job.

Taking cold medicine to fall asleep early tonight so I can wake up early an start xc training. I hate taking any type of medicine, but I need to start forcing myself to get back on track.
